We view the Sacrament of Anointing as a prayer with Christ, who is present in every sacrament, for the healing of mind and body. It is a time for family, friends and community to gather for prayer during the course of a loved one’s illness so that person can be given this healing consolation.

This sacrament may also be administered at church after any Mass for those who anticipate hospitalization.
